Toliy Khomenko v. Martin Wolf Cage Match (Film at 11)

Short version of Toliy Khomenko post: "Let's cut down the 'global jungle'".

Martin Wolf, Making Globalization Work, p 12: "[Former French Prime Minister] Edouard Balladur was wrong. The market is not a jungle, but among the most sophisticated products of civilization."

Oh NO YOU DIDN'T!

Fight! Fight!

(Or maybe not? Maybe Toliy will agree with Wolf...?)

No, I will definitely not agree with Wolf, at least not until he makes a decent argument for that point of view - "it's bad, but the best we could do" wouldn't cut it as a response to an employer, and won't anytime soon, and I can't see why it should be simply accepted coming from Wolf. I do agree with Stiglitz, though, that it's not a "jungle" by nature necessarily, but by virtue of what we (and our politicians) make it out of it.

So I guess the fight is on! ^_____^
